The fall fling is rapidly approaching. Here are the basics:
We will have Group Camp A and B reserved for the entire weekend. Camping is free to any member. We have areas for tent and there is space for tow rigs and/or campers.
There is usually a few that go down Thursday and pay for an extra night you can coordinate that here if you want.
Event officially begins on Friday. Usually involves a evening / night ride and a camp fire. Sometimes people organize a group meal.
Main event is Saturday. We will leave for organized trail rides at 8:30am. Be at the group camp at 8 am if you are coming for the day and want to ride the trails. DO not leave for coffee or gas at 8 am we will not wait for you. Tech inspection wills tart at 8am and we will divide up into at least 2 groups more if we have a lot of rigs. One group will be a stock group and at least one group will be a modified group. Modified is a pretty light term for Uwharrie, any stock Rubicon or similarly modified jeep can do every trail out there if it is dry. We will ride until about 2pm.
Lunch Saturday will be on the trail.
Saturday at 3pm we will conduct the Fall Fling Games. We will compete in our vehicles to see who is the best driver and knows there rig the best. Trophies for each competition and overall trophy for the best driver and rig.
Saturday dinner will be catered by the outpost, probably BBQ pork with sides. Cost will likely be ~$10 per person and kids under 12 eat free. If you are planning to attend and will eat supper we will send you an invoice via PP prior to the event. IT is difficult keeping up with money at the event so going forward most events will require prepayment for food. You do not need a PP account to pay the invoice. You can pay with a echeck or pay with any bankcard without opening a PP account.
After dinner we will give out awards and have a small raffle for a few freebies.
Following this will be a campfire.
Sunday you can wheel or pack up and head home, it is up to you.
Hope to see everyone there.
