Is anyone interested in camping and hiking the linville falls area Aug 3rd-5th with us?
Primitive camping is free along the state routes in the forest – long as we can find a spot. Im thinking along SR210, 99, or 1238.
Brown Mountain OHV has a few Jeep / 4×4 trails ($5 day pass required) – https://www.fs.usda.gov/wps/portal/fsinternet/cs/recarea?ss=110811&navtype=BROWSEBYSUBJECT&cid=FSE_003738&navid=110240000000000&pnavid=110000000000000&position=BROWSEBYSUBJECT&recid=49004&ttype=recarea&pname=Brown%20Mountain%20OHV%20Trail%20System
thought we’d do some hiking to the linville and crabtree waterfalls in the area. perhaps some fishing…
Weather should be low 70s for a high and into the 60s at night… which sounds nice.
I dont know anything about the area – never been, so we are going exploring. Let me know if thats something anyone is interested in doing with us.
