Basic POC responsibilities
Coordinate the event
Usually about 60 days prior create a thread in the private area and send out an email with a link to the thread to get a list of those who are attending.
Use the thread in the private forum to communicate with those planning on attending.
Organize the departure and arrival at the event, car pooling etc.
Provide the attendees with a list of places to camp or sleep, sometimes reserve spaces in advance to insure there is enough space for the group.
Organize meals if the group wants to eat as a group or go out as a group, sometimes people are on there own up to the group going.
Coordinate different groups for the actual rides based on level of difficulty, find guides for each group if needed.
Provide a write up to the club after the event.
Provide receipts to treasurer as needed and distribute any subsidies received form the club.
Communicate specific event rules to the attendees, such as some parks require helmets or have a per seat fee to enter.
