    Save The Date

Send RSVP/questions/comments via this thread or in email to CNC-4×4. We’ll keep track so we can bring the right amount of food.

It’s time fro CNC-4×4 to turn out in mass to volunteer and show our support for the USFS and all the other volunteers who work hard throughout the year keeping Uwharrie’s Off-Highway-Vehicle (OHV) trails among the best in the country…right in our own ‘back-yard’.

Those of you who experienced the event in 2018 can once again look forward to the ‘exercise’, camaraderie and mouth-watering food provided by CNC4x4 and its best BBQ-masters.

Besides the free food, this particular work day is special because it gives CNC4x4 a chance to show our appreciation for the USFS staff as well as other local area clubs or individuals who work alongside of us.

The basic planning has already happened and a tentative menu selected…I won’t keep you in suspense….it’s BBQ spare ribs and sides. There will be enough veggies on hand so non-meat eaters won’t go hungry.

Lunch will be set up in the remote camping area just north of Art Lilley parking lot (soup-bowl / mud pit) and will begin when the work day is done….about 3:30-4 PM and will serve until nobody wants to eat any more. (Same as 2018 event.)

We will advertise here, CNC-4×4 email, CNC4x4 Facebook, NC4x4.com forum and any other tools we can think of to reach as many people as we can.

I’ll be the general point of contact, but I’ll rely on our experts when it comes to the food.

We are now one month away from the CNC4x4 sponsored URE work day (Saturday, September 21st).

Grill-masters have volunteered and back-up plans have been identified just in case.

    https://www.facebook.com/events/2447137698686598/

Input from the Facebook post and club email indicate 10 persons are going and 125 are interested.

On September 16th we’ll fine tune the numbers to ensure purchasing the right amount of ribs and sides.

Hope to see all y’all (…a bunch of youse guys) out there on 9/21.

Duplicates of this message will be posted on CNC4x4’s public forum on NC4x4.com and sent via CNC4x4 Google group email.

With just a little over a week to go, our Facebook Event Page shows “14 going” and “134 interested”!

    We’re all set to go!
We’ll wait until Friday 9/20 before we buy food so we can get the best headcount and confirm acceptable weather. Rain date is Oct. 19.

We haven’t had any of our members confirm they will camp in the dispersed camping area just north of the Art Lilley parking lot. Hoping someone steps up at the last minute, but no big deal if someone else grabs that spot….we’ll just move to the Art Lilley parking lot itself.

Please don’t hesitate to contact me with questions and comments.

Looking forward to seeing lots of CNC4x4 members there!

    Best Regards,

    Mike F.

    Mike,

Anna and I both plan on attending.  As discussed, I’ll bring tables and popups.

Less than a week to go.

Really could use someone else to commit to camping Friday night (besides Joe) to make sure we can use the dispersed camping area just north of the Art Lilley parking lot. Please let me know.

    Thanks,
