ParticipantThank you to those that have volunteered to help. I am meeting with Ralph and Shawn tomorrow to get some of the past event details together.
I’ll follow up here as soon as I have additional details.

ParticipantWe’re getting very close and I’d like to provide some details and ask for a little assistance bringing some of the club property. In addition to what I have, we need:
2 six foot tables
The new 10’x15′ popup
Large Banner
First aid kit
If you have these but are not able to bring them, please coordinate with me. I’ll bring cornhole and ladder golf like last year.
Details: Unless the beach has changed a lot, we plan to set up around campsites 80-87 at Freeman Park (link to map is in a previous post). We will fire up the burner at 3:45, aiming for a 5:00 dinner. Low Country Boil and salad provided. BYOB and a dessert to share. Would anyone(s) like to bring some rolls/bread? If you have any questions, suggestions, or contributions to the event, please sound off!!
And a big thanks to Bob B. for filling in as head chef this year!

ParticipantI’m not seeing a cost per member and my esp isnt working here. I have a first aid kit and a banner, not sure if it’s the large one.

ParticipantAlso, we have kicked around many definitions of a Low Country Boil. What is the definition here?
September 3, 2018 at 6:05 pm #2511Mike Feltman
ParticipantIf you’re going by the general definition, a traditional Low Country Boil is corn on the cob, boiled potatoes, sausage, and shrimp. However, CNC4x4 traditional Low Country Boil adds clams, muscles, crab quarters. Many have voice their opinions that this is NOT a low country boil at all, but something else.
I’ve enjoyed both traditional LCB and whatever you call that thing that CNC4x4 traditionally does. 😉
I’ll bring the two 6′ folding tables and one of CNC4x4’s 10×10 pop up awnings.

ParticipantThanks Bob.
I have to bring something up. According to Article 12 section 3 of our club by laws, this being a club event, alcohol is prohibited. The section is quoted below.
3. Anyone determined to be under the influence of alcohol or mind-altering drugs during any club event is subject to immediate dismissal from the club.

InactiveSarah and I will be there, but will grill our own food. She isn’t a fan of seafood.
September 4, 2018 at 1:05 pm #2524Mike Feltman
ParticipantI sent Carl an email already but I’ll post it here too.
Lisa doesn’t eat the kind of seafood in a low country boil, so there is little here she can eat. I have decided that we will do our own thing for dinner.
Rod, Have room for 2 more in my cottage if interested.

ParticipantCarl thanks for doing a great thing by stepping up to be the POC. We had a great time at Beach Bash! Although, I didn’t plan on being at the beach for almost 12 hours, certainly the company of so many great folks made it a good time.
Bob B. and Cheryl did an AMAZING job with dinner! Lincoln and Scarlett said the potatoes were scrumptious! LOL. Bob B. was also responsible for getting Rod and Sarah to the house and back to the beach so that they could have a good time after something went sideways with Rod’s 4wd. Thanks Bob B for stepping up. Rob B. was going to help too, but Bob B was all the help they needed.
Thanks to Richard and Jaime volunteering their girls to shovel sand into the buckets so that Tent Village could stay in place. We had quite the set up all the way down the beach From Carl B. to Bob T.
Also a big thanks to all of those that helped clean up dinner, I really appreciate it. I think we left that beach way better than we found it.
Ralph, Carl, Anna, Richard, Jamie (their two girls), Bob B./Cheryl and Bob B’s sister, Rod, Sarah, Lincoln and Scarlett and myself all stayed until about 8:30 when the tide had gone out enough for safe passage. What a good time, looking forward to the next adventure. Thanks to all that came and made it a blast.
